Finishing up Unit 3 with a quiz and going back to Unit 1 and Ratios. Started Ratios and a new system of delivering notes.

Consumer product Testing and beginning our Unit on Energy, Temperature and Heat. Students are very excited about our consumer product testing experiments and some students have excellent ideas. I know that sometimes the message of whats expected v what the students hear gets blurred. If you have questions feel free to contact me.

In support of Veterans Day, RTS is having Coin Wars. Coin wars are a game where homerooms compete against each other by collecting pennies and paper money. Silver change is put in the jars of other homerooms to negate their bills and pennies. Proceeds from coin wars go to the Honor Flight Chicago program. If student want to participate all they need to do is bring in their money. (In the past, I have had success by students concentrating on the positive, pennies and bills, and letting everyone else worry about the negatives.)
